MORE THAN A MINIMAP

The information you need,
where you need it.

◎

See your surroundings

Your position and heading, the raft footprint, loaded islands, distinct teammate colors, and red shark markers with distances. A sun and moon orbit the radar, with game time and an estimated sunrise or sunset countdown.

Count the whole haul

Switch between Players, Storage and Both. Filter by item category, search items, inspect individual chests, and see quantities summed across available sources. Items with the highest quantity appear first by default.

Keep track of your crew

Health is green, food amber and water blue. Values turn yellow below 30% and red below 10%. Unknown values stay gray. Your PACK bar shows occupied slots out of usable slots, including the hotbar and backpack. Held items and downed status work without friends installing the bridge.

FIRST-TIME SETUP

From download to deck.

Install the bridge on each PC that will share full player inventories and vitals. The overlay itself is optional for friends who only want to share.

  1. Run the all-in-one Navigator installer

Download installer v1.4.1. It installs the background launcher, minimap and bridge, detects Steam libraries, and creates shortcuts. Confirm the folder containing Raft.exe. You can choose Windows startup and a desktop shortcut during setup.

  2. Install Raft Mod Loader

Save your world and close Raft. Get the loader from the official Raft Modding website ↗ and follow its installer. The loader is a separate prerequisite and is not bundled with Navigator.

  3. Confirm the bridge location

The installer copies RaftNavigatorBridge.rmod to your selected Raft mods folder. For a portable setup, extract ZIP v1.4.1 and copy the bridge yourself. Keep its exact filename for updates. Game saves and UI preferences are preserved.

  4. Launch through the loader and load the bridge

Start Raft using Raft Mod Loader. Press F9, open Mod Manager, and load Raft Navigator Bridge. Enable the loader’s startup loading option if available. Join your world. Inventory and vitals sharing starts automatically while the bridge is loaded.

  5. Open the desktop overlay

Open the Raft Navigator shortcut or run RaftNavigatorLauncher.exe. Right-click its tray icon for Check for updates now, launcher settings, and minimap appearance/shortcuts. Use Raft’s borderless or windowed display mode. The compact map stays on the same monitor as Raft, including when you move the game between displays. It appears while Raft has focus. Press F8 to hide or show it, and Ctrl + F8 to interact. The footer shows CLICK ENABLED: you can now click tabs, search, categories and Settings. Click back into Raft or press Esc to return control; the radar stays visible above the game.

  6. Choose what goes into your totals

Press Ctrl + Alt + I to expand inventory. In interaction mode, choose Players, Storage or Both. Click the selector below the tabs to cycle the total, individual players and individual chests. Your source choice is remembered. Use All categories to filter materials, food & water, tools, weapons and more. Qty ↓ sorts largest counts first; click it to switch to A–Z.

KEEP SAILING

Updates, handled.

The background launcher checks at startup and every 15 minutes, even while the minimap is closed. It downloads verified releases from this website, updates the client and restarts only the minimap when needed. Right-click the tray icon to check manually or change automatic updates, Windows startup and launch-with-Raft settings. The bridge checks when loaded and every 15 minutes while loaded and updates its file for the next load or game restart.

No update forces you out of a world. Downloads are checked against a signed release manifest and SHA-256 hashes. An unavailable server or invalid download leaves your current installation working.

GOOD TO KNOW

Before you set sail.

Do my friends need the mod?

For their complete carried inventories and exact health, food and water: yes. Each friend installs and loads the bridge, which automatically shares those values with other bridge users in that session. Positions, held-item types, downed state and raft chest contents can be read by your local bridge without their installing it.

Must friends use the exact same release?

No exact release match is required by Navigator: compatible releases use the stable protocol v1 format. Older 1.2.1/1.3.0 inventory and vitals packets remain readable; new optional fields are ignored by older versions. Day/night and slot capacity need your own bridge 1.4 or newer. Everyone sharing an inventory still needs their bridge loaded.

Why does a total say “partial”?

Only available, fresh sources are counted. A player without a sharing bridge is excluded. A chest open by a teammate is temporarily excluded because your client receives its updated contents when it closes. The coverage line shows how many players and chests contributed. Remote player packets can lag a chest transfer briefly.

Which storage is included?

Placed raft storage chests, including supported larger storage variants. Trash cans, item drops, crafting machines and collection-net pickups are not counted. Empty chests count as covered. Very large storage lists are capped and shown as partial rather than silently reported complete.

Is this a full ocean map?

No. Navigator shows positions and objects currently loaded in your game, including live sharks. It does not reveal unloaded islands or produce terrain imagery. Shark markers disappear when the shark is dead or no longer loaded.

Can I turn inventory sharing off?

There is no off switch while the 1.2 bridge is loaded. Unload the bridge in F9 → Mod Manager to stop its sharing and telemetry. The installation guide and mod description make this behavior explicit.

Where does my game data go?

The bridge writes local telemetry to Documents\RaftNavigatorData. Shared inventory and vitals travel through your current Raft session to other bridge users. Game telemetry is not uploaded to this website. Update checks contact this server; ordinary web server access logs may record requests and IP addresses.

The overlay does not appear. What should I check?

Use borderless/windowed mode, load the bridge, join a world, start the desktop app and focus Raft. Press F8. Ctrl+F8 enables interaction; the tray menu can open Settings if another application owns a shortcut. The bridge version in the lower right must be 1.2 or newer for storage support.
